When we purchased our first hives many years ago there was a lot we just didn’t know. This is the same for so many first-time beekeepers. For example, many folks aren’t aware of the relevant registrations and approvals needed, or what to look for when purchasing a secondhand hive or new nucleus before taking possession.

PASSION FOR CHANGE

While we did our own research and learnt through trial and error, much of our ‘lessons learned’ and the time taken researching could have been avoided by engaging the services of an experienced beekeeper.

As such, in addition to self-education, we are big advocates of new beekeepers joining their local WA Apiarists' Society chapter, attending training courses, and finding an experienced mentor.

In support of this, we offer beekeeping consultations as part of our service options.
